Show the real you, not a filter fantasy

Over-edited photos might attract clicks, but they also increase disappointment and safety risks. Aim for photography that looks like you on an average good day, not a heavily filtered version of a different person.

Protecting your privacy in NYC

Cropping your face, blurring tattoos, or adjusting backgrounds is valid. Just be consistent so clients can still recognise you when you meet. If you hide your face, use poses and outfits that repeat between photos to build recognition.

Lighting and backgrounds that work

Natural window light, simple walls, and tidy spaces are usually enough. Busy backgrounds or messy rooms distract from you and can accidentally reveal personal details you didn’t intend to share.

How many photos is “enough”?

For most profiles, 6–10 images showing different angles, outfits, and moods works well. You don’t need a huge gallery; you need a clear sense of what it’s like to spend time with you.
